God's saving actions are found throughout history. Written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the Bible records God's plan of salvation for all people. The revelation of God in the history of the people of Israel, presented in the Old Testament, is fulfilled in Jesus and the Church and presented in the New Testament.

* Understand that the Bible is written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit who guides the human authors to express their faith in a variety of literary forms.
